Name: Jason Thomas High School: Obama Academy Grade: 12 Position: Middle Hitter Background Info: This is Thomas' fourth year on the team. It is his third year as a varsity starter. He is a team captain and one of our leaders in kills and blocks. Last year, he suffered a concussion during wrestling season and missed the first several weeks of the volleyball season. As a result, I think he was somewhat overlooked for All-WPIAL honors. This year he has established himself as one of the best middle hitters in the WPIAL class AA. He is an explosive attacker and a force at the net. He is an honor roll student in the International Baccalaureate Program. He has been accepted to several colleges, including Penn State University's main campus and Thiel College. He is considering playing volleyball at Thiel.
