Name: Madison Pikula High School: South Allegheny Grade: 11 Position: Outside Hitter Background Info: Pikula has been a starter for South Allegheny since she was a freshman and in 2019 was voted to the third team of the Class 2A Section 4 All-Star Team. Her current GPA is a 4.275. She is a member of National Honor Society and is junior class secretary. She also plays softball for South Allegheny and Ohio Outlaws travel softball team. Quotes from South Allegheny coach Jack Kelley: "Maddog’s slight frame and modest height (5-5) may not fit the mold of a typical outside hitter, but her athleticism and intelligence make her special. Madison leads South Allegheny in kills and has the team's highest hitting percentage. She also has the most aces and is statistically our best serve receiver. Madison is really easy to root for because she’s humble, kind of quiet, and often does something amazing. And, if our team is in a rut, we can usually “feed the Dog” and get the spark we need. |
