Name: Emily Peterson High School: Shaler Grade: 12 Position: Middle Hitter Background Info: Peterson is a two-year starter and captain of the Shaler girls volleyball team. She excels both in the classroom and on the court. She was named 3rd team in Class 4A Section 1 her junior year and Big 56 Honorable Mention. She was also featured as the Coaches Association Player of the Week. Emily is president of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Math Honor Society, maintains Highest Honors in the top 10% of her class, and has been recognized for her excellence in math and science by the Society of Women Engineers.
