Name: Cayla Rush High School: Waynesburg Grade: 12 Position: Setter/Outside Hitter/Right Hitter Background Info: Rush is a third year starter that has become a vital part of Waynesburg's squad. She is one of the most versatile players. She has played for Pittsburgh Elite and P3R volleyball clubs. She was also voted to the Class 2A Section 3 All-Star on the second team as an setter/right hitter. She has been to the WPIAL playoffs three times and was also part of a section championship team. Quotes from Waynesburg coach Dan Higinbotham: "Cayla has played volleyball for me since 7th grade. She is a very hard worker and continues to get better as each year comes around. She always is happy to play wherever I need her. Cayla's setting skills continue to develop but her hitting skills are really accelerating. As a coach it is nice to have players that can play multiple positions. I also had Cayla in my Physics class where she did exceptionally well. Cayla will be missed after this season." |
