Name: John Santonastasso High School: Canon-McMillan Grade: 12 Position: Libero/Setter Background Info: John is one of two returning varsity players to the Big Macs this season. He came into the season as a libero, but found himself as a utility player. Most recently, John has been a setter and right side. John has played club with Exile and looks to continue his volleyball career at Mount Union. Quotes from Canon-McMillan coach Sheila Mitchell: "John has always had a passion for volleyball. He can be found in the off-season as a manager for the girls team, as well as on the court with club. He wants the best for the team and is willing to put in the work for it. As a captain this year, John has stepped up to fill many positions, most recently as a setter. He’s helped this young team learn the varsity ropes, and continues to work with his teammates as we come together early on.
