The Greater Latrobe Girls volleyball team participated in the Greensburg Salem Invitational tournament Oct. 9 and brought home the first-place trophy. Latrobe went undefeated through pool play earning a first round bye into the semifinals, taking on Southmoreland where the Wildcat’s continued their dominance with a 25–12 win, and a trip to the finals. The Cats squared off against Burrell High School in the finals for a one game, winner take all, and that’s just what Latrobe did, dispatching Burrell 25–17 to claim the victory. Maya Krehlik paced Latrobe in kills with 23 on the day. Emma Blair had 20 kills.
