Quotes from Gateway coach Phil Randolph: "Will Kromka is a once-in-a-lifetime specimen. On and off the court, Will leads by example with everything that he does: good enough isn't good enough if it can be better, and better isn't good enough if it can be best. With every step that he takes on the court and every action that he completes in the classroom, Will strives to allow his actions to showcase that he is "the best," and those actions have spoken - and continue to speak - loudly and earnestly day after day. Will is too humble and grounded to fully acknowledge the magnitude and profundity of the impact that he has in any environment that he is in, but I see it every day, and I am honored to have an opportunity to put into words the impact that Will has had on not only our program but also on the culture of this building. If you would give me the chance to build a program around any young man in Class 2A ball, Will would - without any hesitation - be my first overall pick, and with him at the helm, I know that there is no storm that will ever be too strong to conquer. With Will, there is no "I can't"; there is only "let's run it again," and we will until it's "the best" that we can do." |
