Quotes from South Park coach Chad Farrington: "Lanie is a player that is extremely determined, focused and driven. She came in as a freshman, impressed enough to earn the starting libero position on varsity, and has owned that role for our team since. While some might have been satisfied by that early success, Lanie has improved each and every day, and that speaks volume to her character. She's developed into one of the best defensive players in the WPIAL, and has been an exceptional leader for our team over her career and two years as team captain. She leads our team in digs and serve recieve, but the unmeasurables are where she really stands out. Her understanding of the game, movement on the court, covering of hitters, reading of hitters, her passion, fire and energy are truly what makes her a special player. She's also such an outstanding role model for her peers and underclassmen. Having a larger than normal freshman class getting to watch Lanie and how she plays the game is a true gift. Just from me personally, having Lanie these last 4 years has been nothing short of amazing!"
